The Velar, the avant-garde Range Rover

The Velar has landed at CVSL and we take a close look at the latest Range Rover release.
The mid-size luxury SUV was launched in March 2017 and has been available since this summer, and is now available for contract hire at CVSL.

Velar10

Design
The Velar is a refined and stylish SUV, as you would expect of Range Rover. It also has its distinctive ‘floating roof design’, which not only gives you more light inside the cabin but also makes the Velar stand out from other SUVs. We have also never been known to get excited about a car door handle, but we did with the Velar; ‘the flush deployable door handles’ means that they slide out as soon you hit the unlock button, improving efficiency. The 22-inch alloy wheels give the vehicle an elegant stance.

Interior
The Velar is the first Range Rover to offer new sustainable materials, suedecloth fibres (which are made of recycled plastic bottles).  The inside cabin is high spec, with two HD touchscreens and there is the option to include Head-up Display.  The steering wheel has hidden-until-lit switches which allow you to operate most functions without getting distracted.

Load space
The boot space of the Velar (632 litre capacity) is spacious in comparison with rival SUVS such as the BMW X6 and the Porsche Macan. If you drop the rear seats it will give you 1731 litres of space. More than enough space for the weekly shop!

Driving performance
With two 3.0 litre V6 engines, the Velar will give you a comfortable driving experience both on and off the road. The vehicle is also equipped with Adaptive Dynamics and optional Electronic Air Suspension giving you a smooth ride over bumps. It also has permanent All Wheel Drive systems giving you all-weather and surface capability.

Why not lease the all new Range Rover Velar from CVSL?

  1. Knowledge – we have been leasing for over 30+ years.
  2. Expertise – we will give you extensive insight on the Velar.
  3. Offers – outstanding range of offers tailored to your specific needs

To Infiniti and Beyond….

The Infiniti Q30 is a premium car that combines the sportiness of a coupe and the empowered stance of a crossover. Released to the UK market in 2016, the Q30 is gaining popularity due to it being manufactured to high standards, with the engine and interior having similarities to the much more expensive Mercedes-Benz A-Class.

The exterior grille-to-rear deep sculpted lines and sharp interior trim give the Q30 a stylish, upmarket feel.
The premium model comes with Infiniti’s own Intouch , a user-friendly built-in GPS system as well as dual zone climate control  and a Lane Departure Warning System, a handy gadget that will warn you if you are drifting in your lane, keeping you safe on the road.

The diesel engine has been designed to be as efficient as possible without compromising on acceleration, offering a smooth drive with quick response to throttle.

Overall, the Infiniti Q30 is an excellent vehicle that competes with rivals such as the Nissan Qashqai and Renault Kadjar, offering high specs for a great price, making this a very competitive model on the market.

If you are looking to get a Q30, you are in luck as we currently have a special offer on the Infiniti Q30 Premium. Get in touch today for more information.

Always wanted to drive a pick-up? Read our Nissan Navara customer review

Always wanted to drive a pick-up? We’ve been speaking to our customer Richard, who we recently supplied with a Nissan Navara on a personal lease contract.  Read below to find out more on how his experience has been so far.

What previous car did you drive? And what made you choose the Nissan Navara?
I used to have a Mercedes A class. It was great but with a change of job and move to a new house a larger load lugging automatic was a top pick for me. I don’t need a truck for my work but the huge amount of storage space the Navara has to offer is perfect for me at the weekends. It has all the comforts and gadgets that I want and I can haul mountain bikes, dogs, camping gear and anything else without an issue.

How has your driving experience been so far?
After a long weekend completing the ‘North Coast 500’ around the perimeter of Scotland, I’ve already clocked over 2000 miles. Loving how comfy the Navara is and have been happily surprised to find it returning over 40mpg on my daily commute.

What do you like most about the Nissan Navara?
For me the Navara is top of the class for double cab pick-ups. Great engine and in the top spec it has almost every option you could want. The Navara has a really comfy driving position and the 360 cameras are a dream for parking such a large vehicle, which comes in especially handy when you live in a city like we do!

How easy was the process from ordering to delivery?
Previously I had not had a great experience with a leasing company, however Neil Barlow at CVSL was awesome. Right from my initial enquiry he knew what I wanted and was able to secure me a stock vehicle in my colour and spec within 24 hours. The whole process, right the way through to delivering the truck to my place of work, was perfect. I will be recommending him and no doubt using CVSL again when we are looking for a replacement for our other car.

Looking to lease a new van? Here are some things to consider…

By only considering an initial quote, you could find what seems to be a cheap option quickly becomes one of the most expensive. Take the time to investigate the following factors to make sure that you really are choosing the best van for you.

  1. Service interval. How far will your van go before it’s going to cost you money? Most vans will make it to around 25,000 miles before they need servicing, but there are some that can manage 30,000 miles before you may need to pay a visit to the garage. Doing your research before choosing a van will save you money in the long run.
  1. Service costs. When your van does need a service, how much is that going to cost you? Even if you don’t plan on having maintenance included in your lease contract, get a quote done anyway. Quotes are based on predicted mileage and predicted costs over the term, so can be quite telling as to when the cheapest van has the potential to turn into the most expensive.
  1. How far is your fuel going to go? If your mileage is high, this factor could well outweigh the initial leasing charges. For example, a newer model might cost more than previous versions, but at 10% better efficiency it will swiftly make up for that in fuel costs.

Everyone’s situation is different and it may well be that the cheapest headline quote ends up being the cheapest option for you. But it’s only when you investigate all the factors that you really get the true picture of how much your van is going to cost you in the long run.

Here at CVSL we guarantee our clients that we not only offer competitive prices but also good and honest advise on your fleet, which will keep your company’s books healthy. Get in touch today for more information.
